Info: Jacqueline began her training with Arnott Mader of the Richmond Ballet and went on study at the Virginia School of the Arts and with the Lake Erie Ballet. As a student at NC State, she danced under the direction of Robin Harris, performing at numerous colleges, ACDFAs, and at the Kennedy Center. Upon graduating from the School of Design, Jacqueline went on to study and dance with the Nutmeg Ballet before returning to North Carolina to teach and perform. Since moving to Charlotte, she has danced under the direction of Martha Connerton, as a founding member of Kinetic Works, with Opera Carolina, and with with Kim Robards Dance of Denver, Co. Her choreography has been performed at Piccolo Spoleto, SCEDA, the North Carolina Dance Festival and BalletFest Atlanta.


Naima

Name: Naima

Info: Naima has been a national performer, choreographer, and teacher of Middle Eastern dance for 10 years. A student of dance since age 3, she has studied ballet, jazz, and modern variations with the Richmond Ballet as well as with Marian Meese, giving her technique the framework of western dance and the substance of Middle Eastern Orientale. As a former principal with the Pyramid Dance Co. in Memphis, TN, as well as with the Lotus Dancers of Omaha, NC, she was most recently a member of Zarifa's Charlotte-based Hadadah Dancers and is a current member of Magic Hips. Although best known for her articulate performances to the Egyptian classics and for her elaborate veil work, Naima has also researched and brought traditional folkloric elements from North Africa, the Arabian Penninsula, and Turkey into modern stage choreographies. Sarah Emery

Name: Sarah Emery

Info: Sarah Emery is from Chesapeake, VA and currently resides in Charlotte, NC. She received much of her training with the North Carolina School of the Arts. As a young dancer, she studied with the Boston Ballet, the Hungarian National Ballet in Budapest, Tidewater Ballet Association and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.

Most recently, Sarah danced with Charlotte’s Moving Poets Theater of Dance as a principal dancer for 10 years. She has also danced with Terpsicorps Theater of Dance, Omaha Dance Theater, North Carolina Dance Theater, Alban Elved Dance and Tulsa Ballet Theatre. She has also performed with Opera Carolina, Afro American Children’s Theater, Alma Dance Company and Kim Robards Dance.

As a teacher, Sarah has worked with North Carolina Dance Theater, Charlotte School of Ballet, Bonita’s School of Ballet and Visions Dance Academy. She has choreographed various works for the Moving Poets Theater of Dance, the Afro American Children’s Theater and Project Incite.


Andrew Carr

Name: Andrew Carr

Info: Andrew, Associate Artistic Director of E.E. Motion, began his dance training with the Mid-Columbia Regional Ballet. He continued his training with Washington School of Ballet. Andrew received a B.S. in dance at Indiana University. He has performed with the Kansas City Ballet (formerly State Ballet of Missouri), Sacramento Ballet, and the Washington Ballet, dancing roles such as Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake, Phlegmatic in Balanchine's The Four Temperaments, the principal in Paula Weber's Carmina Burana, and the principal in Lila York's Gloria. In addition to performing Andrew has taught Ballet and injury prevention for dancers for the last 18 years and has given workshops to teachers and students around the world. In 2006 received his Ph.D. in Bioinformatics as George Mason University and is currently involved in Genomics research at UNCC.


Audrey Ipapo

Name: Audrey Ipapo Baran

Info: Audrey Ipapo graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a BA in Dance in 2003. Since then she has been a member of KINETYX Dance Ensemble and Kinetic Works Summerdance Professional Company. Audrey received a scholarship to attend Kim Robards Dance Summer Intensive in Denver, CO and was a member of the KRD Charlotte professional company. She has performed in the Charlotte Dance Festival as well as the North Carolina Dance Festival numerous times under several different choreographers. Audrey was a member of Queen City Jazz Company and a founding member Charlotte’s first dance collaborative, project incite. She has been on the faculty of Gaston Dance Theater, Sullivan Dance Centre, as well as the Department of Dance at UNCC. Audrey’s love of movement inspired her to obtain her 200-hour Yoga Certification in Power Vinyasa Yoga. She founded Happy Goat Yoga in 2008, and can be found teaching yoga all over Charlotte, NC. Audrey is a dancer with E.E. Motion and continues to fulfill her love of performing and expression everywhere she goes.


Kim Jones

Name: Kim Jones

Info: Kim Jones is a Lecturer at UNCC. Her work is currently on tour with the NC Dance Festival. She received her BFA from Marymount Manhattan College and MFA Summa cum Laude from Florida State University. Most notably, she has danced with the Martha Graham Dance Company (2002-2006) the Metropolitan Opera Ballet (1998-2003) and performed in the US National Tour of the King and I as a principal dancer (2005.) Choreography credits include Swing Space, NYC, Joffrey Midwest Ballet, Center Stage Theater, Santa Barbara. Kim is a Régisseur for the Martha Graham Resource Center resetting masterworks globally. Some teaching credits include: The Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, Ailey school, Long Island University-Brooklyn Campus, Laban, The Place, London.


Bridget Morris

Name: Bridget Morris

Info: Bridget Morris, a former competitive gymnast, was trained in the Charles Weidman technique. She studied under the tutelage of Mary Ann Mee, a former principal dancer for Charles Weidman. Bridget performed for several years with Mary Ann Mee at Central Piedmont Community College before leaving to finish her degree in dance at Ohio State University. Since graduating, she has performed as a company member for The Moving Poets Theatre of Dance, Claudia Stoltman & Co., & Sidelong, and is currently a member of Alben Elved based in Wilmington, NC. Bridget also founded Carolina Kids in Motion in 2004, a program designed to teach creative movement, dance and gymnastics to primary age children.


Twila Conklin

Name: Twila Conklin

Info: Twila has studied various styles of dance, with a concentration on ballet, for the past 8 years. Her training includes two summer studies with the Charelston Ballet Theatre, as well as regional studios, master classes and workshops. Miss Conklin has taught and assisted for various levels of ballet and tap and shares her love of dance with all of her students. Twila has also performed with the Robinson Ballet Centre, and with Open Door, representing our studio at CEDA and dancing with members of the Charlotte Symphony for a Christmas concert.

I've been in the fitness industry for about 10 years, managing fitness centers, and as a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer, teaching all different forms of classes, personal training, and leading boot camps.
