We offer classes for young dancers from toddlers to teens in Adaptive Dance, Ballet/Pre-Ballet, Contemporary, Creative Movement, Jazz, Modern, Pointe, Tap and Tumbling. Open Door Studios is a welcoming environment for students of any background and level of experience. Our classes foster creativity and individuality, while always focusing on proper technique, cultivating a healthy respect for one’s body and the art of dance.

Our Youth Program typically follows a regular school year of 36 weeks, not including our 2 week Winter Break and 1 week of Spring Break (usually in sync with CMS’ holiday schedule). Over the Summer we offer Summer Camps and Intensives for various age groups. For a full calendar listing of specific dates please view our Student Calendar.

All Youth Classes (with the exception of Creative Movement) participate in our End of Year Concert. Costume fees and Recital Tickets are not included in tuition. Please notify the front desk in writing if you plan on not participating in the End of Year Concert. If we haven’t received a written notice by January opting out of participation your dancer’s costume will be ordered and you’ll be responsible for the costume fee.

Tuition Policy: All tuition and fees paid are non-refundable. No portion of tuition will be refunded in the event of absence, injury, relocation, decision to withdraw, or dismissal from ODS. No portion of tuition may be credited for future programming. Future monthly payments may be canceled upon written notice of withdrawal from ODS. In the event of withdrawal, a 7 calendar day notice must be given prior to the next scheduled payment.

Attendance Policy: Parents and students are encouraged to avoid making appointments during class time. Students who miss class regularly will be moved into a lower class level in order to maintain the integrity of each class’s curriculum. Parents must notify Open Door Studios if their child is going to be absent. Missed classes should be made up within 1 month after the missed class or even arranged prior to if you know ahead of time. Missed classes do not rollover into our Summer Session or the following season.

Youth  Class Tuition Policy: The class terms at Open Door Studios are late-August thru the end of May. Meaning, our season is a 36 week program and follows the length of a regular school year. Tuition at Open Door Studios is based on a single amount divided into 9 monthly payments. Tuition is scheduled to auto-draft on the 1st of each month and is past due by the tenth of each month. A late fee of $15 is expected for payments received after the tenth of each month. Tuition is not reduced to reflect missed classes due to illness, work schedules, vacations, or holidays. Make-up classes can be attended in other classes appropriate for the dancer’s age or a level below.

A student is considered enrolled in a class until Open Door Studios is notified in writing that the student will not be returning. This policy permits ODS to keep the enrollment in each level from exceeding the limit established by the Director to maintain professional standards. Tuition will continue to be auto-drafted until written notification is received. Notifications can be mailed to info@opendoorstudios.com.
