Youth Enrollment Dress Code

Students should always enter a dance studio in proper attire and hair pulled away from their face. Below are our expectations for uniform per our different ballet levels and dance genres. We have $5 hair kits available at the front desk for those who have forgotten any hair pins, bobby pins, or hair ties. Please remember to always wear a cover-up while entering and exiting the studio and that dance shoes should only be worn in the studio and never in the parking lot.

PreBallet dancers should wear a pink leotard, pink tights and pink slippers. Ballet I and higher should wear their class level leotard with skin tone matching tights and slippers. Ballet I and higher can purchase their class specific leotard through our front desk or by shopping our store at Discount Dance Supply.

We are not responsible for lost items or valuables. Do not bring valuables to class. Also refrain from wearing perfume or jewelry to class. No gum chewing is allowed, and only water is allowed inside the studio. We encourage all dancers to have their own dance bag for all of their belongings. All shoes and items of clothing should have your dancers name or, at the very least, their initials written inside of them. We do maintain a lost and found bin by the lockers but will empty it out at the end of each semester. We greatly appreciate your cooperation!

Creative Movement

Creative Movement encourages fun and freedom and dance costumes are always welcome. We only ask that dancers can move freely in the clothes that they wear and that their hair is pulled away from their face. Barefooted.

Pre-Ballet

Pre-Ballet girl dancers should wear pink leotards, pink tights and pink ballet slippers. Boy dancers should wear a white t-shirt tucked into black dance tights and black ballet slippers.

Pre-Tap

Pre-Tap is coupled with Pre-Ballet and we recommend transitional tights for this class. Some dancers do not like the seam across their toes once in the tap shoe and prefer to roll it up around the ankle for the tap portion of class.
