Studio Rentals

We offer 3 different studio rental options here at Open Door Studios. Each studio has a sprung, vinyl floor system, ideal for all forms of concert style dance. Our studios are ideal for rehearsals, classes, auditions, workshops and performances!

All studios come equipped with a professional sound system with playback equipment, Bluetooth connectivity, aux cables to connect phone/tablet/computer, HDMI cable to connect to our TVs for easier video conferencing or to better view reference materials.

Studio A/B:

This studio space is 3,500 sqft. (53’x66′), and as a whole, can comfortably fit 60-75 dancers. This room, which doubles as our own black box style Performance Space, can also be cut in half by our stage curtain to make two equal sides (53’x33′) which makes Studio A and B.

Studio C: 

This studio space is 900 sqft. (36′ x 25′) and can comfortably fit 12-16 dancers. This space has a lot of natural light from it’s 15’x9′ window and is perfect for filming auditions. All windows can be closed with black out shades.

Shoe Policy:

No shoes worn regularly outside or heels are permitted on our marley dance surfaces. Tap shoes are only allowed in Studio C. 

Studio Rates: 

The rates below are for regular studio use only (rehearsals, auditions, private lessons, group classes). *These prices are current as of September, 2023.

  • Studio A or B – $55/hr
  • Studio C – $40/hr
  • Studio A/B (combined) – $110/hr
  • All Studios: $150/hr

**Non-profit rates are available upon request with a submission of your IRS Tax Affirmation Letter.

Booking Policies:

  • By requesting a reservation, you acknowledge that you’ve read our Booking Policies and agree to adhere to them.
  • Reservations are subject to our cancelation policy once a rental contract has been sent to you. 
  • Reservations are not confirmed until payment in full has processed and you’ve received a written confirmation.
  • Reservation requests are handled on a first come first serve basis.
  • Reservation requests submitted Fri-Sun will be handled at our earliest convenience – but might not be handled until Monday.
  • Cancelations made within 7 days of reserved date are subject to a 50% cancelation fee of the rental amount.
  • Cancelations made within 30 days of reserved date are subject to a 10% cancelation fee of the rental amount.
  • Cancelations made with at least 31 days in advance are subject to no cancelation fee.
  • Cancelations made during or after your reservation forfeit the entirety of the rental amount. 
  • Date changes are handled at our discretion – if a new date can’t be agreed upon, the reservation will be subject to our cancelation policy.

Performance Space Rentals: (This Section is currently under construction – fees/prices are subject to change)

Our combined Studio A/B also doubles as a black box style performance space. We regularly host shows and book this space out in advance. For a full weekend booking, please contact us at least 3 months in advance. Performance Space rentals are subject to dynamic pricing, tailored to the needs of each rental. During our regular season (September – May) Studios A/B are always booked 5-8pm on Fridays and 8:30am-3pm on Saturdays. This space is reserved for our Resident Company on Sundays usually 1-7pm on Sundays. 

Our Performance Space is available for rent at different tiers for varying budgets. Below is an overview of our options and is a general estimate of your costs – exact fees will be assessed at the conclusion of your performance, following a walk-through of the space. Hourly rates include load-in and load-out times.

Tier 1

  • Studio A/B at an hourly rate ($110/hr).
  • Studio C for a green room ($40/hr).
  • 25 onsite chairs for audience members.
  • Professional sound system.
  • Regular studio lighting.

Tier 2

  • Studio A/B for performance space.
  • Studio C for a green room.
  • 25 onsite chairs with option to add up to 75 chairs for max capacity (100 seats).
  • Professional sound system (ran by your team).
  • Use of professional lighting system (ran by your team with required training).
  • Use of pipe and drape system for needed stage wing configuration.
  • 4 hour minimum ($600) – additional time ($150/hr).
  • Box Office ($200 per performance).

Tier 3

  • Studio A/B for performance space.
  • Studio C for a green room.
  • Seated Riser System for tiered audience seating (64 seats).
  • 25 onsite chairs with option to add up to 75 chairs for max capacity (100 seats).
  • Professional sound system.
  • Professional lighting system.
  • Use of pipe and drape system for needed stage wing configuration.
  • 8 hour minimum ($1,600) – additional time ($150/hr).
  • Box Office ($200 per performance)
  • Front of House Staff ($200 per performance)
  • Stage Labor: estimated on a per-event basis.
